Enrol Your Child in Our Well-Rounded Elementary Program

CCMD will strive to support high‑quality education while giving every student the opportunity to learn in the way that is best suited to each student’s individual strengths. The Elementary program is designed to help every student reach his or her full potential through a program of learning that is coherent, relevant, and age‑appropriate. It recognizes that, today and in the future, students need to be critically literate in order to synthesize information, make informed decisions, communicate effectively and thrive in an ever‑changing global community. It is important for children to be connected to the curriculum and to see themselves in what is taught, how it is taught, and how it applies to the world at large. The curriculum recognizes that the needs of students are diverse and helps all students develop the knowledge, skills, and perspectives they need to become informed, productive, caring, responsible, and active citizens in their own communities and in the world.

CCMD sets out principles, expectations for learning, and pedagogical approaches that are developmentally appropriate for students that align with and extend the approaches outlined in the Ontario Curriculum.

Documentation will continue to be present in our elementary program. This will assist in communication with parents and families allowing us to present student development and progress.

OCT-Qualified Teachers

At CCMD, we follow the same curriculum as the school board at an advanced level. Our teachers are no exception in regard to their qualifications. We hire Ontario Certified Teachers to run our program parallel to the school board curriculum.

Special Guidance & Attention

Following the same standards as our Montessori, CCA will always provide the necessary developmental tools and resources needed for each child’s individual intellectual needs.

Smaller Class Size!

12/15 students per classroom! This allows our teachers to focus on each student as individuals, allowing each student to learn independently in their studies, advancing when they are able, and focusing on all subjects of the curriculum, therefore providing more resources and challenges for academically strong students.

Our Program Includes:

The arts, mathematics, health and physical education, science and technology, social studies, history, geography, and music.
Our facility is equipped with a track and field on‑premise to allow our students to participate in York Region Track and Field Programs. This also allows our children to excel in physical education and sports.
